Tanzania

All  the money I raise here will go towards the charity work portion of a

four week trip to Tanzania in Summer 2018. Raising the money for charity is as much a part of the character building as the trip itself.

42% of the trip cost goes to the charity work itself. that equates to a sum of £1650. Any excess I raise above this, will still go to the charity, and not to the holiday part of my trip.

Charity work:
Environmental work:

The first of the 4 weeks (and maybe a bit more) will be dedicated to charity work. This could involve me doing anything from helping build a school or toilet block, digging a new well for fresh, clean water or helping teaching in a school.

The second and third weeks are split between a safari and some environmental work. I do the latter first. The work we may be doing can range from cleaning rivers to building fences to keeping elephants out of the small villages to raising local awareness about the environment.

Safari:

The rest of the two middle weeks are set aside for a safari where we will see the awesome animals and wildlife that Tanzania offers.

Expedition:

The final week is an exciting expedition up Mount Meru, a mountain nearly 3.5 times the height of Ben Nevis (the highest peak in the British Isles).
